Argentine authorities fined Worldcoin developers $200000

According to officials, employees of the blockchain startup:

Did not properly verify customers' identity documents;
Did not provide clear information about the procedures used after collecting personal data;
Included improper provisions in the service's agreement to use the service.
Consumer rights may have been violated due to these oversights. In particular, Worldcoin reserved the right to terminate services to a customer and, in doing so, refuse to refund the customer's funds. In addition, due to the negligent approach to document verification, minors had the opportunity to bypass the age restriction and register in the project to receive a reward.
