Binance freezes cryptocurrency stolen from BtcTurk exchange

On June 22, representatives of BtcTurk, whose services are used by over 5 million people, reported a hacker attack, as a result of which 10 different digital assets were stolen from hot crypto wallets. Coins that are in cold crypto storage remain safe.

Binance is helping to investigate the BtcTurk hack and has already frozen over $5.3 million in stolen assets. Employees of the Wu Blockchain portal found out that one of the cryptocurrencies stolen from BtcTurk was Avalanche (AVAX). AVAX coins worth several tens of millions of dollars were withdrawn from a crypto wallet, most likely belonging to the exchange, and only $17.1 worth of digital assets remained in the crypto storage.
