Bitstamp will distribute bitcoins to Mt. Gox creditors faster than 2 months

Payouts are known to be processed through five exchanges, which have different timelines for distributing the coins after receiving them from the trustee. Two Japanese exchanges, Bitbank and SBI VC Trade, have already received the bitcoins and have apparently moved the coins to their owners within hours.

It is less clear exactly when the coins will be moved to the remaining three exchanges. It is believed to take place in the near future either simultaneously or sequentially.

Kraken has the longest payout processing time of up to 90 days, as mentioned above, Bitstamp is limited to 60 days and BitGo is limited to 20 days.

Currently, the trustee has sent 47,229 bitcoins equivalent to $2.7 billion to crypto exchanges Bitbank and SBI VC Trade, with another 94,771 bitcoins worth $5.4 billion in the balance.

Meanwhile, the bitcoin price is showing high volatility today, falling into the $55,000 range, then rising to $57400.
