Mohammed Idris: Tigran Gambaryan from Binance is being kept in excellent prison conditions

"The Federal Government of Nigeria considers it necessary to issue an official response to allegations that a Binance employee is being held in prison in poor conditions and his health is at risk. This is not true."

The minister assured that the authorities are not doing anything that would jeopardize the fundamental rights of a representative of the world's largest crypto exchange to a fair trial and quality medical care. Only the court can change the conditions of detention, officials do not influence this decision, Mohammed Idris tried to make it clear. 

Earlier, US Congressmen French Hill and Chrissy Houlahan came to Nigeria to assess the conditions of detention in the Kuja prison of Tigran Gambaryan. And then they called for the immediate release of the American citizen. The Nigerian authorities are trying to get several billion dollars from the exchange, calling this compensation for the instability of the national currency.
