New Rules for Miners

The government has gained the authority to completely ban cryptocurrency mining in any region. Not only is mining prohibited, but participation in mining pools is also banned.

Now, organizations providing energy resources for mining are under strict supervision. Companies not included in the tax authority's registry will not be able to access these services.

Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs can only engage in mining after registering in the official registry. Private individuals will be able to mine cryptocurrencies, but there will be limits on electricity consumption that will be established later.

All miners are required to report their income and identifying addresses to the tax authority. This information will be forwarded to the Central Bank of Russia and other government agencies.

The tax authority will remove from the registry those who violate the requirements. It is worth noting that Putin emphasized that Russia is one of the world leaders in cryptocurrency mining.
