Russian State Duma: Unified Center for Miners

Anton Tkachev, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma's Committee on Information Policy, proposed creating a unified center for miners at the Mining.ru forum. This center would unite mining companies, cryptocurrency owners, and agents to improve industry regulation.

Tkachev noted that this center could function as a specialized banking organization under the management of the Central Bank of Russia. He emphasized the importance of miners for the Russian economy amid sanctions pressure.

The deputy also suggested concealing information about tests for cross-border cryptocurrency transactions from unfriendly countries to prevent the escalation of sanctions. He highlighted that mining needs state support and investment attraction.

Russian authorities are increasingly considering measures to control and tax the mining industry.
